Phocas is sinds de oprichting in 1947 gegroeid naar bijna 600 leden en is daarmee de grootste, actiefste en meest veelzijdige studentenvereniging van Nijmegen. Het ultieme doel is het bevorderen van de roeisport in Nijmegen en hiermee bijdragen aan de Nijmeegse studentenwereld. Hiervoor faciliteren wij als vereniging de perfecte combinatie tussen sport en gezelligheid voor onze leden. Zo wordt er geroeid op een recreatief niveau, maar ook op olympisch niveau. Daarnaast dragen wij als vereniging actief bij aan de stad Nijmegen met verschillende projecten, variërend van een groot roeievenement op de Spiegelwaal tot een Goedendoelenweek voor een lokale stichting.
